Dog Grooming Service List
Here at Pawsome we have a one on one grooming salon where we strive to make grooming stress free, fear free and as enjoyable as possible for every dog. We work with the dogs 1 on 1 which means that when they come in for their appointment they get worked on straight away and get our full attention for the duration of their grooms. This means no waiting around in crates - although we do have safe spaces we are able to offer dogs if needed. There will be other dogs in the salon being groomed by other groomers at the same time as your dog but we are seperate from the dog daycare so there is no need to stress about your dog feeling overwhelmed!
We offer a variety of services and groom all sizes, breeds and coat types. All grooms include a warm bath, blow-dry, brush out, nails, and are finished with a spritz of cologne. You will also receive a photo in our designated photo booth of the month! Find below which service best fits you and your dogs needs. Full groom - Basic comfort clip
Our basic comfort clips are a groom designed to bring your dogs comfort over style. These are short clips using one of our 3 shortest lengths on the body and legs (breeds with thicker coats will vary). Comfort clips do not include any teddy bear or breed specific styles, although we are able to do a more styled head and face to create that look you were after with a shorter body.

The perfect "short but not too short" haircut! The in between haircut that leaves a bit of length but isn't too much maintenance at home.

Our longer styled clips involve any of our styled grooms that require a bit more scissoring. These include teddy bear clips, breed specific clips, longer scissored grooms, etc.

Bath & Tidy up
A wash and tidy is designed to give your dog a good clean and brush out while maintaining the length of their coat. After a wash, blowdry and brush they will receive a tidy around the eyes and mouth, a sanitary clip, paw pads cleared out, feet rounded or tidied and nails trimmed. This is a great way to ensure your dog doesn't get knotty in between full grooms and ensures they can stay fluffier for longer. Prices do vary depending on coat length and thickness and we also will not brush out any matting or heavily knotted coats.

Deshed Short Coat
This groom is designed especially for short coated breeds. They will receive a bath, deep condition, extended scrub in the bath to loosen all that undercoat, blow-dry, nails, and then a thorough brush with our deshedding tools that have been designed for our short coated friends. They might not have much hair but they sure do shed!!

Deshed Long Coat
This groom is designed for longer coated, double coated dogs. They will receive a bath with specialised deshedding shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, brush out of undercoat and any small tangles, nail trim, paw pad trim and a paw tidy. From $10 extra for super shedders or matting. Excessive matting that is not loosening with humane techniques will need to be clipped out.
Deshedding & Style Trim
This service is for those double coated dogs that you are wanting to have a more thorough tidy. This could include an all over teddy, rounded trim or could also include an all over outline trim to enhance and tidy up the dogs natural shape. This service includes all the same steps as the deshedding service to the left with the added trim and styling. This styling is all done delicately with scissors to protect the health of the coat and to prevent any damage.

Puppy sessions
Our puppy sessions are designed to give puppies a gentle introduction into grooming as it will be something they will have to do ever 4-8 weeks for the majority of their lives. We spread this over 4 sessions to ensure that the introduction is slow and doesnt create any negative reactions towards grooming. Grooming is a new and scary process of puppies and if we went straight into a full groom it would be very stressful and could even lead to life long anxiety towards grooming.
These first 3 sessions will be a slow introduction to the bath, blowdryer, brushing, nail clippers and a little bit of trimming around the eyes, feet and sanitary areas. Basically an intro to all of our scary tools! No length is taken off their body during these sessions but we will introduce them to the clippers for when they are ready.
We recommend the first session is done as soon as they have had their last needles to get them in as early as possible. These sessions all include lots of cuddles, treats and play time!
Session 4 is their first full groom! Although the puppy sessions aim to desensitise them to the process, it is still all new to them and it is a very strange new process for such a young dog! A lot of puppies by this stage are no longer anxious but are very excited! So have a practical mindset when it comes to the outcome of this first haircut. Puppy coat is also very soft and hard to shape so the first groom a lot of the time is just about taking half the length off the body and shaping the face. Extra Fees
Matting Fees
Matting fees can be anywhere from an extra $5 for minor matting to an extra $50 for extreme cases. It all depends on the additional time it takes to remove the matting safely and humanely. Matting also causes extreme wear and tear on our tools which means they need to be sharpened or replaced much quicker.
Behaviour Fees
Dogs experiencing a lot of anxiety during their grooms will need a much slower process or possibly multiple groomers. An additional fee between $5 to $50 may be applied after an assessment. This is only in cases that require a lot of extra time to complete the service.

Late pickup/early drop off Policy
We charge $15 an hour ($20 for 2 dogs) for late pickup or early drop off with a maximum of 3 hrs. We are technically a daycare but not in the grooming salon so it does require extra work and supervision to clean up after them and supervise them. We do ask dogs are picked up within 20mins of them being finished (you will receive a text 15-20mins before).
Cancellation Policy
We charge %50 of the grooms cost for late cancelation (24hrs or less) and %100 of the grooms cost for no shows (cancellation 2hrs before or not showing up with no notice). We do have to pay staff to be here for those couple of hours and we are a small business. Unfortunately we cant fill a spot with this little notice which puts us out of pocket. We ask this is paid before you can rebook.
